We re-branded to London Girls Development Academy of Football from 1 June 2019 but our commitment to our "vision" for female football remains the same.
As an Academy, we want to create a professional atmosphere without the restraints of an F.A.’s RTC.
Providing ambitious, committed and talented footballers with an environment to develop into technical, educated and intelligent individuals, reached through being a team player and having a desire to succeed and a hunger to play for Super League teams in the future
Our aim is to educate and allow the highest technical practice possible. Through challenges and problem solving within a positive setting, our coaches will allow young female athletes to flourish in a safe but competitive atmosphere.
Every athlete will look to support each other in a number of ways to help guide each other through their LGDA journey and push the boundaries of female football
Our Vision - your future
•At the London Girls Academy of Football, we aim to educate girls from the ages of 7 years and upwards.
•In the early years, we endeavour to coach the fundamentals and allow them to gain an understanding of individual skills and teamwork all at high tempo.
•As we work through the years, all players will be given an understanding that there is no right or wrong way of playing but in fact understanding when specific play is to be used and in the correct situation.
•By the time our Academy players have moved closer towards Development and First team, all individuals will have a complete understanding of how our teams play and be able to work at High Tempo and under pressure from the modern game.
•We will continue to provide the best possible level of Coaching for our players, whilst encouraging our Coaches to also progress up their own development and qualification ladder.
Our commitment to player development
•Our vision is to develop players and progress through the football Pyramid to the highest possible level.
•We also believe that should an individual excel further, Clubs in and around the London Area within the top 3 Divisions would be invited to come to training sessions for a “Scouting Evenings”
•Our vision for the future is to have a successful club and pathway through our Girls Academy to a First Team, that will be competing in the WSL.
•We will continue our commitment to our players, parents & coaching staff to provide the best possible facilities to develop & succeed
•It is not all about “the badge”. It is also about reputation and recognition. We would hope that 95% of our players & parents have been happy and see the club as one that can provide the players with their requirements and needs to improve, develop & succeed.
•We will also offer help, support and guidance on future development for adult players with regards to College / University and Scholarship placements. Players who show and interest in Coaching & Refereeing will also receive our support, encouragement and assistance.
